This page is dedicated to the Firefighters of the Cowpens Fire Department who have answered their "Last Call." Not all of them are Line of Duty Deaths. Some of them are people have devoted a lifetime of service to their community.


     Lt. Robert Lee   

The Cowpens Fire Department's only Line Of Duty Death came on March 11th, 1990. While operating at a working residential structure fire Lt. Lee suffered a Heart Attack. Lee was Laid To Rest with a full Firefighters Rights Funeral at the Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens in Cowpens, South Carolina. An annual Robert E. Lee Award is given each year at the departments annual Christmas Supper. Below is a photo of Lt. Robert Lee.

December 27, 2003


Mr. McCallister served the community and the
Cowpens Fire Department from 1955 - 2003.
